The Manitowoc County Civil War Round Table was organized in October 1988 and now has members in many counties throughout Wisconsin and four other states. Members gather for nine regular meetings each year, September through May, to enjoy stimulating and informative programs, and for social contact with fellow enthusiasts who may have a general interest, be serious students of the period or may be collectors of various Civil War memorabilia. A monthly newsletter, The Guardhouse, is included with a membership, which is $15 per year for individual or family.
Meetings are held the second Monday of each month, September – May at 7:00 pm at the Manitowoc County Heritage Center.
Mission Statement To honor and commemorate the memory of the 'Manitowoc Guards' the first company of volunteers to leave Manitowoc County in 1861 to fight in the American Civil War, and to all those who followed.
